  • Mississippi Coronavirus Hotline: 877-978-6453 Available 24/7. Residents with qualifying symptoms, can be tested for COVID-19 by local medical providers statewide, or at free drive-through sites held in various locations around the state.

  • Before visiting a drive through testing site, you must first be screened by speaking with University Mississippi Medical Center clinician through the C-Spire Health Smartphone app or by phone.

  • Local resting providers can be found at www.msdh.ms.us. For those who are uninsured please contact Community Health Centers of Mississippi to find a center near you.

Mississippi State Department of Education

  • School districts are providing FREE grab and go meals for young people under the age of 18 and low cost meals of breakfast and lunch in community. Learn more: www.mde.k12.ms.us

  • Mississippi Low Income Child Care Initiative (MLICI): Will be providing food and COVID -19 resources for Mississippi child care center providers: www.mschildcare.org

Employment and Unemployment

  • MDES offers online filing for unemployment claims or by phone at 601-855-3133 or 1-888-844-3577. Call centers are now open 7 days per week and online applications can be submitted 24 hours per day. Applicants can also apply at WIN Job Centers.

Mutual Aid Efforts

  • New Dimensions: Provides hot lunches for indigent persons who come to their facilities. New Dimensions provides support to families and individuals in need including housing/lodging, hot meals and grocery items for families to bring home.
